AdSense readiness checklist
A practical checklist for preparing a real, useful and technically accessible publisher website.
1. Website access and ownership
- The production domain loads over HTTPS without login walls.
- Google can crawl intended public pages.
- No sitewide noindex or accidental robots.txt block exists.
- The submitted domain matches the canonical production host.
2. Original visitor value
- Core pages are complete and useful—not placeholders or navigation-only screens.
- Articles, calculators and tools include original explanations and clear purpose.
- Thin, duplicated and auto-generated pages are removed or substantially improved.
- Users can navigate to related information and trust pages.
3. Publisher transparency
- About, Contact and Privacy pages accurately describe the publisher and data practices.
- Terms, Cookies and Advertising disclosures match actual functionality.
- Finance or other high-stakes content shows methodology, sources and appropriate limitations.
4. Advertising implementation
- The publisher ID is consistent across code, meta tags and ads.txt.
- Ad placements do not overwhelm or imitate navigation/content.
- Consent requirements are implemented for applicable visitors and regions.
- No prohibited or restricted content is monetized contrary to policy.
5. Search and performance
- robots.txt and sitemap.xml are valid and publicly accessible.
- Canonical URLs, metadata and structured data match visible content.
- Mobile layout, navigation and page speed are usable.
- Broken links, missing assets and server errors are repaired.
Important: Google does not publish a fixed article count, traffic threshold or guaranteed approval formula. Treat numerical claims from third-party sites cautiously.
