Back-button hijacking is an explicit Search spam violation

Google added browser-history manipulation that traps visitors or deceptively redirects them to its malicious-practices spam policy in April 2026. SenseApproval now looks for static History API indicators and labels the result as a heuristic until rendered behavior is tested.

AI-assisted content must still add value

Google does not prohibit generative AI by itself. Publishing many automated pages without meaningful value can violate scaled-content-abuse rules. SenseApproval records this as a human content-review requirement rather than claiming source code can prove authorship or originality.

Google policy and documentation updates

SenseApproval reviews official Google sources and distinguishes actual requirements from documentation clarifications, product announcements, and optional recommendations.

Last official review: August 4, 2026. A documentation change is not automatically a new AdSense requirement; each change must be classified before it affects scoring.

How changes affect the score

  • Requirement change: added to the matrix and scanner when observable.
  • Clarification: improves evidence or reporting but does not create a new penalty by itself.
  • Product announcement: shown for awareness unless it changes an applicable requirement.
  • Account-only change: remains marked account access required.
