AdSense publisher resources

Audit low-value content risks.

Find common low-value, replicated, unfinished and navigation-only page patterns before an AdSense review.

Pages to review first

Thin utility pages

Add clear instructions, methodology, examples, limitations and related guidance around calculators and tools.

Replicated content

Do not republish or lightly rewrite material from other sites. Add original analysis, examples, data or experience.

Navigation-only screens

Category and directory pages should help users choose and understand content, not merely list links.

Under-construction pages

Remove “coming soon,” empty templates, test pages and unfinished routes from navigation and sitemaps.

Ads outweighing content

Keep publisher content central. Avoid pages where advertisements or paid promotions dominate the screen.

Unclear authorship

Show who created or reviewed important content, when it was updated and which sources support factual claims.

Page-level review questions

  • Does this page solve a distinct visitor problem?
  • Is the main content original and complete?
  • Would the page still be useful without advertisements?
  • Are important claims sourced and limitations disclosed?
  • Does the page link naturally to related content?
  • Is it indexable only if it deserves to appear in Search?
